| This Tuscan town is chock full of art, history and tourists. The city itself is pretty dang small, so when you toss ten thousand gawking travelers into the mix, you get one hairy mass of people clogging up all its cute little streets. Add in the numerous street-hawkers pitching their trinkets at passersby every three minutes, and it gets rather unbearable. Do I sound bitter? Well, it just so happens that Florence hosted my worst travel experience ever, which inspired my short story, A Taste of Italy. If only my visit had ended up like Carly’s, I’m sure I’d have a lot more love for Florence. |
